Read the MicroHorror entries for their 2011 Short Story Contest with names like Jackie MacIntosh – “The Water Trap,” Chris Allinotte – “Monkeyfish,” Angel Zapata – “Salt of the Earth,” TJ Oneal Antley II – “Stained,” my entry – “Ghosts Never Lie,” and many more.
The theme this year was, WATER. All entries had to be 666 words or less, and because I’m a horrid overachiever, my entry tops in at 666 words . . . but I’m not holding my breath – there are some top notch entries here. Check them out when you can.
Support small press and sub your best to MicroHorror here.
Thanks to another contest, Nathan!
Left a comment on the site – loved it! (Thanks for the mention above too!)

If there's anything creepier than a marsh, I don't know what it is. Great story, Erin. Good luck!
